1. Flight
of the Ryanair company from Orio al Serio (Bg) to Modlin, at a price of Euro
2.00 including taxes;
2. Currency
exchange at Modlin
Airport is very
unfavorable.
3. From the
small former Modlin Airport to get to Warsaw there are 2 solutions. The least
economical is to take the bus which leaves frequently and at a price of 34 PLN,
one way takes you in about 45 minutes to the center of Warsaw. The second is the cheapest and
consists of taking the shuttle that in 20 minutes takes you to the small Modlin
train station after several trains take you in about 45 minutes to the
different Warsaw Railway Stations including the central one. The price is 12
PLN, all inclusive. The ticket can be bought at the airport or on the shuttle
itself. Please note that the aforementioned ticket is not valid for express
trains that occasionally stop at Modlin station, which logically costs more and
can be done at Modlin train station.
4. To
change the currency, keep in mind that the change in the Hall of the Central
Station is very unfavorable, while those in the subways of the station itself,
called kantor, are very favorable, next to the various shops that sell
everything.
5. From the
Warsaw Centralina train station I take the train to Torùn in the direction of
Bydggoszcz for the price of 48 PLN. The trip lasts about 3 hours. There are
several per day for this destination. The ticket must not be stamped.
6. One
hundred meters Around outside the Torun
train station, there is the bus stop where buses n. 22 and 27, which at the
price of 2.70 PLN one way will take you in scarce 10 minutes will lead you to
Piazza Almariana Rapackiego, 100 mt. To the west of the old city considered a
World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
7. The
small historic center of Torun,
considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, can be easily explored on foot. I
spend the night at the Dom Turysty Hostel (price 70 PLN per night without
breakfast), located about 1 km
north-west of the Old Town Market
Square. Very clean and comfortable.
8. Four
hundred meters south of the aforementioned hostel, in Via Uniwerytecka, there
is the bus station where they depart from Peron n. 10 buses to Warsaw. The first is at 8.50 in the morning. They
also stop in Plock, a beautiful town on the
banks of the Vistula
River. The ticket for Plock costs 33 PLN and
can be bought directly from the driver. The trip takes about 2 hours.
9. The bus
stops at the Bus Polsi Express stop, located at 396_Al Jachowicza Street, Nowy Rynek Street intersection. The
center can be reached by following this last road in a south-westerly
direction, walking for only 1
km.
10. The
beautiful old town of Plock
can be easily explored on foot.
11. Back at
the Bus Polsi Express stop, located at 396_Al Jachowicza Street, intersection Nowy Rynek Street
in Plock, I take one of the many minibuses that
reach Warsaw
every day in about an hour and a half. Prices are variable. For example, I paid
for the ticket that is always on the bus, 24 PLN, one way.
12. The
aforementioned Minibus drops you off at the bus parking lot located 150 meters east of the
Central Train Station in Warsaw.

13. Outside
the Central Train Station, on Via Emilii Plater, several buses depart,
including bus n. 102 which takes you to Tamka Street. The ticket costs 2.60 PLN
for a duration of 20 'or 3.60 PLN, for a duration of approximately 1 hour. It
can be bought in the many kiosks around Warsaw
and must be Obliterated once you get on the bus.
14. I sleep
at the Beautiful Tamka Hostel at the price of 25 PLN per night, located in the
homonymous street, 15 minutes walk from the Old Town.
Breakfast is not included in the price. Internet is free. The hostel is very
clean and comfortable.
15. The Old
Town of Warsaw
can be explored on foot while the Citadel, dimly lit at night, can also be
reached by bus no. 185.
16. Warsaw is a fairly safe
city but it is not illuminated at night. Therefore, avoid going at night to the
Praga district, the poorest in Warsaw, located
east of the Vistula
River.
17. From Warsaw Central Station I
take the train to Modlin. The price is 12 PLN, all inclusive. The journey takes
approximately 45 minutes. The ticket can be bought at the Central Station
counters and is also valid for the shuttle that takes you to Modlin Airport
every 20 minutes in 20 minutes. Note that the aforementioned ticket is not
valid for express trains that occasionally stop at Modlin station, which
logically costs more.
18. Flight
