GLI ARGOMENTI

REPORT TRAVEL IN SERBIA AND HUNGARY THROUGH BELGRADE, NOVI SAD, SUBOTICA, SZEGED, HÒDMEZOVÀSÀRHELY, CSONGRAD AND KECSKEMET.

  

1. Flight of the Ryanair company from Orio al Serio (Bg) to Budapest Ferihegy Terminal 2A, round trip, at a price of Euro 28.56 including taxes;

2. Currency exchange at the Budapest Ferihegy Terminal 2A Airport is not very favorable.

3. From the newsagent inside the arrivals hall of Budapest Ferihegy Airport Terminal 2A, I buy a bus ticket at a cost of Ft 350. You can also take the bus but it costs Ft 450.

4. At the bus stop located between the adjacent Terminals 2A and 2B, I take bus n. 200E (high frequency), which takes you to Kobànya Kispest Metro Station in just 15 minutes. (note that this stop is not the last stop on the line traveled by the 200E bus).

5. At the machines that only accept coins, I buy a ticket for the metro at 350 Ft.

6. In about half an hour, with a change of line at Deak Ter Metro Station, I reach Budapest's Kelety Railway Station.

7. At the international ticket office located to the left of the platforms looking at them from the main entrance, I buy a ticket for Belgrade at the one way price of 4,500 Ft or 15 Euros. They also accept credit card or Euro;

8. The Avala train leaves at 1.15pm. It is very slow, it stops at many stations, but it is quite comfortable.

9. At the Hungarian border checks are fast. The Serbs are more scrupulous with opening and checking the suitcases. I remember that from 2010 an identity card is sufficient to enter Serbia for citizens of the European Union;

10. The Avala train arrives at Belgrade Central Station after 8 hours 15 'to 21.30', with a delay of over half an hour.

11. The Downtown Belgrade Hostel costs only 6 Euros per night with free internet and is the cheapest in the entire capital of Serbia and is only 50 meters away. further north of the Central Station, across the street, on the 6th floor of an old building. There is an elevator but it only takes two people and it is very obsolete and sometimes breaks;

12. The next morning from one of the Newspapers adjacent to Belgrade Central Station I buy the rechargeable card, valid for Belgrade public transport at the price of 100 RSD (if you buy it on the bus it costs more), with which I can take the bus. No. 83 which passes from the bus stop adjacent to the Central Railway Station and takes me after 8 km in scarcely 20 minutes to the beautiful village of Zemun, on the Danube.

13. Visited Zemun on foot, I take the bus again. 83, loading the aforementioned card with 72 RSD and then returning to Belgrade Central Station.

14. The connection between Belgrade Central Station and the Citadel is guaranteed by tram no. 2.

15. The center of Belgrade can be visited on foot.

16. After visiting Belgrade, from the Central Station I take the 10.20 am train which takes me to Novi Sad in about 1 hour and 40 minutes. There are many a day.

17. From the Novi Sad station on foot I take me to the adjacent bus station where I take bus no. 62 for the Petrovaradin Citadel, located just across the Danube. The cost is 65 RSD. Bus n. 61 leads to the Petrovaradin Citadel.

18. After visiting the Petrovaradin Citadel, located on a hill, in about 1 km, walking across the Danube and arriving in the center of Novi Sad. It is also possible to reach the center thanks to bus n. 3.

19. The center of Novi Sad can be visited on foot.

20. From the Bus Stop, located in Bulevar Mihajla Pupina, near the central post office, I take bus n. 4 which takes me back to the Novi Sad Train Station. You can buy the ticket on the bus and it costs 65 RSD.

21. From Novi Sad Station I take train no. 2402 at 11.16 which in about 3 hours takes me to Subotica (there are many a day), a beautiful Serbian town, on the border with Hungary with many buildings with Art Nouveau architecture.

22. The center of Subotica begins at 200 meters. from the train station and can be visited on foot.

23. I sleep in Subotica at the Hostel Incognito, located about 1 km from the railway station. Cost: 10 Euros per night. Very beautiful. You can also pay in Euros.

24. The next day I go to Szeged in Hungary. There are 3 trains a day connecting Subotica (Serbia) to Szeged (Hungary): 7.26, 10.57 and 14.35. The journey takes about 2 hours and at the Hungarian border in Roszke, after a scrupulous check of the suitcases by the police, you have to get off and change trains.

25. The railway station is located approximately 1 km south of the center of Szeged, which can be reached by tram no. 2 at a cost of 310 Ft, if you buy the ticket from the newsagent. Or a little more if you buy it on the tram.

26. The center of Szeged can be easily visited on foot;

27. From Szeged there are several trains a day that reach Hòdmezovàsàrhely at the price of 650 HUF, in about 40 minutes.

28. The railway station is located about 1 km east of the center Hòdmezovàsàrhely, which can be reached by bus n. 1 and 13 which take you to Bajcsy Zsilinszky Ulica. Keep in mind that they pass infrequently, however.

29. The center of Hòdmezovàsàrhely can be easily visited on foot;

30. From the bus station of Hòdmezovàsàrhely, located just east of the center, there are several buses a day that reach Csongràd for 840 HUF, in scarce 2 hours, passing through Szentes.

31. The bus station is located southwest of the center of Csongràd, which can be reached on foot in a few minutes;

32. From the Csongràd bus station, there are several buses a day (the last one at 19.00) that reach Kecskemèt at a price of 1,020 HUF, in 1 hour, passing through Kiskunfèlegyhàza.

33. The bus goes to the Kecskemèt Bus Station, but also passes through the center where it makes stops on request.

34. The center of Kecskemèt can be easily visited on foot;

35. The interurban bus station and the Kecskemèt train station are adjacent and are located about 1 km north-east of the center of the city while the urban bus station is in the center. The connection between the 2 is guaranteed by bus n. 18 which costs 350 HUF if bought from the driver, 250 HUF if bought at the desk;

36. From Kecskemèt there are many trains a day that reach Budapest Nyugati Station, also stopping at Ferihegy, one step away from the airport. The ride between Kecskemèt and Ferihegy costs 1500 HUF and takes about 1 hour.

37. At Ferihegy Railway Station I take bus no. 200E which in about 10 minutes takes me to Terminals 2A and 2B of Budapest Ferihegy Airport. Ticket cost on the bus: 450 Ft.

38. Flight of the company Ryanair from Budapest Ferihegy Terminal 2B to Orio al Serio (Bg), round trip, at a price of Euro 28.56 including taxes. Contrary to the outward journey that took place at Terminal 2A, the return takes place at Terminal 2B. The same are connected by a corridor of a few tens of meters.
